The sculpture "Perspectives" is a manifesto about the lack of linearity that we believe exists in the perspective of the progression of human essence through the physical plane of time, as well as the possible perspectives from which it can be approached. Dreaming, remembering, imagining are just a few angles from which man intertwines and constructs his limited understanding of time as a straight line. It is these intertwinements and overlaps of past, future, and present times that question the very reality of such an illusion.
The sculpture is composed of a man immersed in a mass resembling flowing water on a surface. This mass represents time itself, fluid and ever-changing. Through the visual representation of this flowing mass, the sculpture evokes the idea that time is not experienced as linear and static but rather slips and flows, constantly transforming.
The presence of the man immersed in this temporal mass emphasizes the deep connection between the individual and the flow of time. The way in which the man submerges and intertwines with the mass symbolizes his active interaction and influence in constructing his own perception of time.
Together, the sculpture "Perspectives" challenges traditional conceptions of the linearity of time and invites us to reflect on the subjective nature of our temporal experience. It reminds us that our individual perspectives and interactions with the flow of time shape our understanding and appreciation of the world around us.
